Refund and Transfer Policy
Due to the significant upfront costs associated with organizing the event—including expenses for shirts, medals, insurance, permits, and more—we are strictly unable to offer refunds.
Additionally, the timing and percentage of cherry blossoms in bloom cannot be guaranteed, as peak bloom is dependent on nature's schedule. For this reason, we do not allow refunds based on bloom timing.
If you cannot attend the event, here are your options:

Defer Your Registration: You can defer your registration to the following year only for a $25 fee. To do so, log in to your RunSignUp account, navigate to your profile, select the race, and click "Manage Registration." From the top menu, select "Defer Registration." Once completed, email us at info@cherryblossomrun.com to activate your deferral for a future race.

Transfer Your Registration: Consider transferring your registration to a friend. You can either gift it to them or request payment. Upon completion of the transfer, you will receive an automatic refund (minus processing fees).

Switch to the Virtual Run: If you cannot attend in person, transfer your registration to the virtual run option.

Race Insurance
All events are covered by RegShield.
The RegShield insurance premium is 8.1% of the registration cost (including processing fees) with a minimum insurance premium of $2.99 for registrations up to $24.99 and a minimum of $3.99 for registrations from $25.00 to $49.23. Premiums for registrations above $49.23 are 8.1%. Premiums in some states that apply surcharges may be slightly different.
